Fiji Climate

The climate of Fiji, is considered to be the best in the world. There is no other destination that can match up to the tropical Fiji weather and climate that wows every visitor to its shore.

The climate brings many visitors to its shores every year; travelers from all walks of life find it the perfect weather and atmospheric conditions to enjoy their holidays. Divers love the climate as it makes the water warm and easy to dive in. Hikers enjoy trekking up the top of the mountains and viewing the landscape that appear so beautiful and sharp. Beach lovers relax on golden sands, breaking off every so often for a dip in the clear ocean waters.

To enjoy the climate of Fiji at its best, the ideal traveling months are April to November. The other months are still suitable for travel but it depends on your humidity and heat threshhold and what your activities will be. It is typical for the rain to come down in the late afternoon of these months but it is not the sort of rain that sends you shivering and hovering by the fireside.

It is warm rain that makes you want to jump in the nearest hammock and have an afternoon siesta. The rain fall is brief and after your siesta, you will wake up to temperatures of around 28 to 30 °C. These days are beautifully slow, lazy days and are perfect for anyone who wants to recharge their batteries or enjoy special time alone with their loved ones.

The other great aspect about the Fiji Climate is that the weather temperatures are not erratic throughout the year like they can be in other destinations. You will find a constant climate of around 25 to 31 °C depending on whether you are staying on the mainland or one of the numerous smaller islands. There is also a constant small wind that breezes along and cools down anyone who is not used to hot temperatures.

However if you are a sun goddess or god and crave as much sun as you can possibly get, then you need to head to the regions of the Mamanuca islands and Viti Levu as these destinations receive the most amount of sunshine and ensure a perfect golden tan upon your return home.

After you have been to the islands and experienced the Fiji climate, you will understand why people say that it is one of the best in the world.
